Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst / Consultant with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern data governance platforms and a good understanding of the CPG/Retail industry. Exposure to cloud and data engineering platforms will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and support data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization
Work with stakeholders to define data quality rules, data stewardship, and metadata management
Manage and configure data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar platforms
Ensure data compliance, data lineage, and data cataloging across systems
Collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data quality and consistency
Support data governance initiatives for enterprise data platforms including cloud environments
Document processes, workflows, and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management concepts
Experience with at least one data governance tool such as:
Collibra
Informatica (Axon / IDQ)
Alation
Ataccama
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
Understanding of CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) / Retail industry processes and data models
Basic knowledge of Databricks and Azure Cloud fundamentals
Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
Exposure to data compliance standards and regulatory requirements
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
