🔍 Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting to build and deploy advanced forecasting models that drive key business decisions. This role involves solving complex problems using machine learning, optimization techniques, and large-scale data processing to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance demand forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques
Work closely with business and engineering teams to align models with real-world requirements
Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using Python and SQL
Design and execute model experiments, tuning, and performance evaluation
Build and deploy time-series and multivariate forecasting models
Integrate new data sources to improve model accuracy
Communicate model logic, assumptions, and outcomes to stakeholders
Ensure model transparency, explainability, and trust
Continuously improve models using monitoring and feedback loops
🧠 Required Skills & Expertise
5+ years of experience in Data Science / Analytics
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
Solid understanding of time-series forecasting techniques
Experience working with large-scale datasets and scalable systems
Knowledge of tools like Hadoop, Hive, or Scala (preferred)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
🎓 Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as:
Data Science
Statistics
Applied Mathematics
Physics
Computer Science
Engineering
