This role is critical in ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data governance tools, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks, along with hands-on experience in modern data platforms and cloud ecosystems.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Data Governance Framework\nDesign and implement a scalable enterprise data governance framework\nAlign governance strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements\n2. Data Quality Management\nBuild and deploy automated data quality monitoring systems\nDevelop tools/APIs to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency\n3. Data Stewardship\nPromote a strong data stewardship culture across business and technical teams\nDrive accountability for data ownership and quality\n4. Metadata Management\nImplement and manage metadata frameworks and data catalog solutions\nAutomate metadata capture, classification, and management processes\n5. Data Lineage\nDevelop and maintain end-to-end data lineage models\nEnhance existing lineage tools for better traceability and transparency\n6. Compliance & Security\nEnsure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry standards\nImplement data privacy and security best practices\n7. Collaboration & Enablement\nWork closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders\nConduct training sessions to promote governance awareness and adoption\n8. Continuous Improvement\nContinuously improve governance frameworks based on evolving business and technology needs\n9. Documentation & Reporting\nMaintain detailed documentation of governance policies and processes\nProvide regular reporting on data quality metrics and governance KPIs\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field\n6–9 years of overall experience, with 3+ years in Data Governance/Data Management\nStrong programming skills in Python (or similar languages)\nHands-on experience with data quality tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, Metaplane)\nExperience with data governance tools such as Atlan, Alation, Secoda, or data.world\nSolid understanding of:\nData modeling\nData lineage & classification\nMetadata management\nExperience with modern data stack:\nSnowflake, dbt, Looker\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms:\nAWS / Azure / GCP\nExperience with data integration tools:\nFivetran / ETL pipelines\nStrong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)\nPreferred Skills\nExperience building custom governance or data quality tools/APIs\nExposure to policy engines and role-based access control (RBAC)\nStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills\nKey Competencies\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to data quality\nAbility to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompetitive salary: ?27 LPA + ?3 LPA Variable\nPerformance-based incentives and bonus eligibility\nComprehensive benefits package\nOpportunity to work on enterprise-scale data platforms and governance initiatives\nIf you want, I can also create:\n??
