Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, support, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role involves handling mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and driving automation and cloud adoption initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and administer Oracle 19c RAC and standalone databases on Unix/Linux platforms
• Perform database design, implementation, and performance tuning
• Lead and support multiple projects, including migrations and upgrades
• Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies are in place and optimized
• Handle on-call support (weekdays/weekends in shifts) for production systems
• Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle RAC clusters and databases
• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN
• Administer Data Guard, ASM, ACFS, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Monitor databases using tools like DataDog and OEM
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and lead incident calls
• Work on cloud database platforms (IaaS & managed services)
• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins
• Optimize DR strategies with a focus on RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective)
Mandatory Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle DBA (6+ years)
• Expertise in:
o Database Design & Architecture
o High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR)
o Migration & Upgrade strategies
• Experience with Oracle 19c RAC and Linux environments
• Proficiency in RMAN backup & recovery
• Strong knowledge of Data Guard, ASM, OEM
• Experience with cloud database environments
• Exposure to DevOps & CI/CD tools (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins)
Good to Have Skills
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., ESX, Oracle Linux Virtualization)
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting
• Exposure to cloud cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools
