The role involves handling mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and driving automation and cloud adoption initiatives.\r\n \r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n• Manage and administer Oracle 19c RAC and standalone databases on Unix/Linux platforms \r\n• Perform database design, implementation, and performance tuning \r\n• Lead and support multiple projects, including migrations and upgrades \r\n• Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies are in place and optimized \r\n• Handle on-call support (weekdays/weekends in shifts) for production systems \r\n• Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle RAC clusters and databases \r\n• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN \r\n• Administer Data Guard, ASM, ACFS, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) \r\n• Monitor databases using tools like DataDog and OEM \r\n• Troubleshoot critical production issues and lead incident calls \r\n• Work on cloud database platforms (IaaS & managed services) \r\n• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins \r\n• Optimize DR strategies with a focus on RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) \r\n \r\nMandatory Skills\r\n• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle DBA (6+ years) \r\n• Expertise in: \r\no Database Design & Architecture \r\no High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) \r\no Migration & Upgrade strategies \r\n• Experience with Oracle 19c RAC and Linux environments \r\n• Proficiency in RMAN backup & recovery \r\n• Strong knowledge of Data Guard, ASM, OEM \r\n• Experience with cloud database environments \r\n• Exposure to DevOps & CI/CD tools (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins) \r\n \r\nGood to Have Skills\r\n• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., ESX, Oracle Linux Virtualization) \r\n• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting \r\n• Exposure to cloud cost optimization strategies \r\n• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools \r\n \r\nBehavioral Competencies\r\n• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills \r\n• Ability to lead and manage production incidents \r\n• Excellent communication and stakeholder management \r\n• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment \r\n• Strong ownership and commitment to quality delivery \r\n \r\nBusiness Unit Overview\r\nThe role is part of the Enterprise Data & AI division, focused on enabling cloud transformation and accelerating application delivery.
