🔍 Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, working with Azure cloud services, and supporting enterprise-grade data platforms.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure services
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks
Develop solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL
Create and maintain Databricks notebooks (PySpark, Databricks SQL, Delta Lake)
Handle transformation of structured & semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, XML, CSV)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data requirements and delivery
Monitor and support production pipelines ensuring SLA adherence
Implement data warehousing concepts (SCD, dimensional modeling)
Optimize performance using partitioning, clustering, and tuning techniques
Support on-prem to Azure cloud migration projects
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance
Implement CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices
Perform system analysis and reverse engineering where required
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models
🧠 Required Skills & Expertise
Hands-on experience with:
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Data Lake
Azure Synapse Analytics (MPP, Spark)
Azure SQL Database
Azure Logic Apps
Strong programming in PySpark and SQL (CTEs, stored procedures, functions)
Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake architecture
Good understanding of:
Data Warehousing concepts
ETL/ELT processes
Data Modeling techniques
Relational & NoSQL databases
Experience with data ingestion from FTP, SAP, RDBMS, APIs
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
🔄 Additional Expectations
Experience in large-scale data migrations (On-Prem to Cloud)
Ability to optimize pipelines for varying data volumes
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD for data platforms
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
