Job Title: Azure Data Engineer\n\nExperience: 4–6 Years\nLocation: Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad (Hybrid)\nEmployment Type: Full-Time\n\nJob Summary\n\nWe are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure data services, strong data modeling skills, and experience in ETL/ELT processes along with production support exposure.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure data services\nBuild and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks\nDevelop and optimize data transformation logic using PySpark and Databricks SQL\nHandle structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, XML, CSV, etc.)\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and delivery\nProvide production support, ensuring SLA adherence and timely issue resolution\nPerform data migration from on-premise systems to Azure cloud\nOptimize performance for large-scale data ingestion and processing\nImplement data security best practices across Azure services\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely project delivery\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data models\nPerform reverse engineering of existing data systems and suggest improvements\nTechnical Skills Required\nAzure Data Stack\nStrong experience with:\nAzure Data Factory (ADF)\nAzure Data Lake\nAzure Synapse Analytics (MPP)\nAzure Logic Apps\nBig Data & Processing\nHands-on experience with:\nAzure Databricks\nPySpark\nDatabricks SQL\nDelta Lake\nData Engineering Concepts\nStrong understanding of:\nData Warehousing concepts\nETL/ELT processes\nSlowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)\nData Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)\nDatabases\nStrong SQL skills:\nStored Procedures\nCTEs\nFunctions\nQuery Optimization\nExperience with:\nRelational Databases\nNoSQL Databases\nData Integration\nExperience with data ingestion from:\nRelational Databases\nFTP\nSAP\nHandling multiple file formats (JSON, CSV, XML, Parquet)\nAdditional Skills\nExperience with production support and SLA-driven environments\nKnowledge of Azure security best practices\nPerformance tuning (partitioning, cluster optimization, code optimization)\nExperience with large-scale data migration projects (On-Prem to Cloud)\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (ADF, Databricks, SQL deployments)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management\nPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)\nDP-203: Microsoft Certified – Azure Data Engineer Associate\nDatabricks Data Engineering Certification\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical mindset and data affinity\nAbility to work in Agile environments\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills\nProactive and solution-oriented approach
