About the Role\n\nVCreaTek is looking for a highly analytical and driven Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting to join our team. This role plays a critical part in driving business decisions by generating accurate forecasts that directly impact inventory planning, workforce management, and financial projections.\n\nYou will work on complex, high-impact problems involving optimization and automation, developing scalable machine learning solutions and deploying them into production systems.\n\n??? Key Responsibilities\nDevelop, implement, and improve demand forecasting models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques\nWork closely with engineering and business teams to align models with real-world business requirements\nPerform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using Python and SQL\nDesign and execute model experiments, fine-tune parameters, and evaluate performance\nDeploy multivariate and time-series forecasting algorithms into production systems\nIdentify and integrate new data sources to enhance forecasting accuracy\nCommunicate model logic, assumptions, and expected behavior to business stakeholders\nBuild trust in forecasting systems through transparency and explainability\nContinuously improve models through performance monitoring and feedback loops\n?? Required Skills & Expertise\n5+ years of experience in data science / analytics roles\nStrong programming skills in Python and data querying using SQL\nExperience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques\nSolid understanding of time-series forecasting methods\nExperience working with large datasets and building scalable solutions\nKnowledge of tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or Scala is a plus\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\n??
