VCreaTek is looking for a highly analytical and driven Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting to join our team. This role plays a critical part in driving business decisions by generating accurate forecasts that directly impact inventory planning, workforce management, and financial projections.

You will work on complex, high-impact problems involving optimization and automation, developing scalable machine learning solutions and deploying them into production systems.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and improve demand forecasting models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques
Work closely with engineering and business teams to align models with real-world business requirements
Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using Python and SQL
Design and execute model experiments, fine-tune parameters, and evaluate performance
Deploy multivariate and time-series forecasting algorithms into production systems
Identify and integrate new data sources to enhance forecasting accuracy
Communicate model logic, assumptions, and expected behavior to business stakeholders
Build trust in forecasting systems through transparency and explainability
Continuously improve models through performance monitoring and feedback loops
🧠 Required Skills & Expertise
5+ years of experience in data science / analytics roles
Strong programming skills in Python and data querying using SQL
Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
Solid understanding of time-series forecasting methods
Experience working with large datasets and building scalable solutions
Knowledge of tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or Scala is a plus
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
🎓 Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as:
Data Science
Statistics
Applied Mathematics
Physics
Computer Science
Engineering
