Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts
Perform manual and/or automated testing of web, mobile, and API applications
Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Validate fixes and perform re-testing
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
Perform API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
Assist in automation framework development and maintenance (if applicable)
Prepare test reports and quality metrics
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
Experience in manual testing and/or test automation
Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
Knowledge of bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
Basic understanding of databases (SQL) for data validation
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform testing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automation scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript)
Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience in mobile testing (Android/iOS)
Certifications such as:
ISTQB Certified Tester
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
