🚀 About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to deliver critical insights and intelligence to cross-functional Supply Chain teams through scalable data science solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technology teams to translate complex business problems into advanced analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and programming expertise to rapidly test hypotheses, build models, and communicate actionable insights in a structured and impactful manner.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to understand key business problems and opportunities
Develop POCs (Proof of Concepts) and MVPs, and lead them through full production deployment
Influence and contribute to machine learning strategy across digital initiatives
Recommend solutions balancing speed, scalability, and analytical rigor
Design and develop advanced analytical and machine learning models using Python, R, TensorFlow, etc.
Build model-based solutions combining ML algorithms with techniques like simulation and optimization
Extract insights from large, multi-dimensional datasets using advanced algorithms
Deploy models into production systems to generate actionable business insights
Compare multiple modeling approaches and recommend optimal solutions
Design and visualize solutions using storytelling, dashboards, and presentations
Develop automated pipelines for model validation, deployment, and monitoring
Work across AI domains including data science, cognitive engineering, and conversational AI
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and reusable
Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical leadership
Lead peer reviews and influence decision-making through strong communication
Share best practices and foster collaboration across teams and geographies
🧠 Required Skills & Expertise
7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
Strong programming skills in Python / R and querying using SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Scala
Hands-on experience in feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning
Expertise in:
Machine Learning algorithms
Predictive modeling & forecasting
Decision trees & optimization techniques
Deep learning methodologies
Experience with Azure or AWS data platforms (ADF, Data Lake, Azure ML, Synapse, Databricks)
Strong understanding of statistics, evaluation metrics, and data modeling techniques
Experience writing production-quality code, tests, and documentation
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
🎓 Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
🔄 Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Supply Chain domains (Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality)
Experience in CPG or Healthcare industry
Knowledge of:
Pyomo / Mosel
Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO)
Truck Load Optimization
Exposure to NLP, Computer Vision, or AR/VR
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and MLOps frameworks
Understanding of data security practices in ML models
Hands-on experience deploying ML models in production environments
